Koch Ag & Energy Solutions and OCP to Expand Long-Standing Partnership with New Joint Venture

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions and OCP Nutricrops S.A. have entered into a significant agreement to form a 50/50 joint venture named Jorf Fertilizers Company I (JFC I), with the transaction expected to close pending customary regulatory approvals. The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed. This joint venture, announced on July 17, 2026, will operate a phosphate fertilizer production facility located in Jorf Lasfar, Morocco, and is poised to enhance the longstanding partnership between the two companies.

Jorf Fertilizers Company I will leverage the existing infrastructure of the Jorf Fertilizer Complex, which is recognized as the largest phosphate fertilizer production platform globally. The facility is designed to produce up to 1.2 million metric tons of phosphate-based fertilizers annually. With this new venture, Koch and OCP will combine their production capacities, bringing the total to approximately 2.5 million metric tons per year. This strategic collaboration is expected to bolster the companies' ability to serve a diverse customer base, particularly focusing on the North American market.

The formation of JFC I comes at a critical time for the agricultural sector, especially in North America, where there is a growing demand for reliable sources of phosphate fertilizers.
